ISLANDIA was formed to incubate and give life to ambitious projects. We take pride in our empathetic, experimental, and gritty approach. We align with stories and people that are inquisitive, introspective, and inspire new ways of connecting.

about us

ISLANDIA is helmed by Emmy-nominated filmmaker Cameron Mullenneaux. Her directorial debut, Exit Music, explores the ethical and existential challenges at the end-of-life through the eyes of a young artist with cystic fibrosis. Exit Music premiered at Hot Docs Film Festival, was broadcast on PBS, and is distributed on Amazon Prime. Cameron directed Angelique, a short film about an accomplished high school student who secretly struggled with housing insecurity and her mother’s mental health. It was acquired by Conde Nast/Glamour and nominated for a News and Doc Emmy in 2018. While living in San Francisco, she was an SFFILM FilmHouse artist resident, served as a creative producer for Masterclass, and senior story editor for OMGYES. Cameron received an MFA in film from Wake Forest University and a BA in death and dying studies from Warren Wilson College. She has 2 kids and lives in Ventura, CA.
